We will update this section with information on how to store food items and medicine. The ability to safely store items greatly depends on the area of the country that you live in and the climate in your area.
Search and rescue operations often involve utilizing advanced technologies and equipment. Drone operations empower responders to quickly asses the area from above and effectively deliver emergency life saving items to those unable to escape flooding or lack of p roads. We use vital tools such as GPS systems, drone replay repeaters, side-scan sonar devices, and the latest radio gear.

We have a well prepared list of items you can gather prior to a storm that will help you afterward. Having food, water and medicine is just a small sample of the supplies that will be needed in the days, weeks and months after the storm.
We will provide our Storm Preparation Check List in pdf format available for download and printing.
The U.S. SARSAT system uses GPS satellites in medium earth orbit as well as NOAA satellites in low-earth orbits and GOES satellites in geostationary orbits to detect and locate distress signals from 406 emergency distress beacons. When an emergency beacon is activated, the signal is received by a satellite and relayed to the nearest available ground station.
The following link is to the Federal Disaster Assistance portal. The Disaster Assistance Improvement Program’s (DAIP) mission is to provide disaster survivors with information, support, services, and a means to access and apply for disaster assistance through joint data-sharing efforts between federal, tribal, state, local, and private sector partners.
Our staff was on the ground before, during and after Hurricane Katrina. During this time we observed how rapidly the churches and other organizations could gather food and water and get those resources rapidly into the devastated areas. We want to thank them all and will post links to those that have a proven track record of giving to the communities in need.
